The short answer

CoProxy's free web proxy comes from a named, UK-registered proxy company and needs no signup, but it carries Google AdSense ads, may log your IP and the sites you visit (CoProxy keeps proxy usage logs for 12 months), and lets you pick no location.

CoProxy itself says the free tier is for one-off checks, not accounts you can't afford to lose.

About CoProxy

CoProxy, on the record

Facts from their own site and policies — no review-site hearsay. Each one is linked to its source.

What CoProxy does well

4
  • A named, registered operator: CoProxy Ltd, company number 15888162, active on Companies House.[3]
  • Its privacy policy lists what the free proxy collects, every third-party processor and its retention periods.[2]
  • No installs and no signup: "paste a URL and go".[1]
  • Says plainly what the free tier isn't for: it is "risky for accounts you cannot afford to lose".[1]

Where CoProxy is limited

5
  • The free proxy may collect your "IP address, Visited website or hostname, Timestamp data", and CoProxy keeps proxy usage logs for 12 months.[2]
  • Google AdSense runs on the free proxy page and may set persistent third-party cookies.[2]
  • Part of the free proxy runs on a third party, Reflect4, whose own policies may also apply to your data.[2]
  • "CoProxy does not guarantee anonymity, privacy, or non-attribution", and proxied pages may be modified or cached in transit.[7]
  • No server or country picker on the free proxy, and no published free-tier limits.[1]

CoProxy vs a residential proxy

Not the same product, so no row is scored. CoProxy opens a page inside its own site; a residential proxy is a gateway your browser, app or scraper connects through, on IPs from real home connections.

Beyond the browser tab

Need more than one tab? Use a residential proxy

Up to 250 MB of residential traffic free, no card. Set it in your browser, app or scraper and pick the country or city.

Which one fits

An honest verdict

Use CoProxy if…

3
  • You want a quick one-off look at a public page from somewhere other than your own IP.
  • You'd rather use a free proxy from a company that names itself and publishes a full privacy policy.
  • Where the page loads from doesn't matter.

Use a residential proxy if…

4
  • You need to choose the country, state or city.
  • You're working with accounts, ads or search results, where shared infrastructure gets flagged — as CoProxy itself warns.
  • You need proxies in a scraper, bot or app rather than a browser tab.
  • You want a balance that never expires and a free trial with no card.

CoProxy: questions

Yes. It needs "no installs, no signup", and CoProxy's privacy policy says Google AdSense ads run on the page. CoProxy's residential, mobile and datacenter proxies are separate paid products.

CoProxy's privacy policy says the free web proxy may collect your IP address, the website you visit and timestamps, and that its proxy usage logs are kept for 12 months. Its terms say "CoProxy does not guarantee anonymity, privacy, or non-attribution."

CoProxy Ltd, registered in England and Wales under company number 15888162 at 128 City Road, London; Companies House shows it incorporated on 9 August 2024. Its terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel.

CoProxy advises against it: the free tier "runs on shared infrastructure that anti-bot systems can recognize" and is "risky for accounts you cannot afford to lose." For accounts, a residential proxy with IPs from real home connections is the usual choice.
