1. Why we verify
Proxies are a target for fraud. Verification protects legitimate customers, our suppliers and the people behind residential IPs, and helps us meet anti-money-laundering and sanctions duties.
2. When we ask
Most customers are never asked. We may require verification:
- before access to certain products, targets or higher volumes;
- when a payment, sign-up or usage pattern triggers our fraud checks;
- for reseller and API accounts;
- when the law or a supplier requires it.
Until verification is complete we may hold a purchase, limit an account, or refund the payment instead.
3. What we check
Typically a government-issued photo ID and a live selfie, and for businesses the company's registration details. Checks run through a specialist identity-verification provider acting as our processor; we receive the outcome and the minimum data needed to keep a record.
Automated fraud screening also uses IP reputation, email-domain checks and payment-risk signals at sign-up and checkout.
4. How verification data is handled
Verification data is used only for verification, fraud prevention and legal compliance, kept for as long as the law requires after your account closes, and never sold. See our Privacy Policy for your rights, or email privacy@loopway.io.
5. If verification fails
If we cannot verify you, or decline an account on risk grounds, unused funds are refunded to the original payment method except where the law prevents it. Questions or appeals: support@loopway.io.
