Its paid plans are for the hide.me VPN, not the web proxy. The connection to the proxy uses HTTPS, and hide.me is an established VPN company that names itself. It also notes the proxy "decrypts and re-encrypts traffic to fetch web content", and for sensitive information it recommends its full VPN instead. The proxy page says "We do not log your online activity or personal IP address". Its privacy policy says website usage data for its sites and "public proxies" comes from web server logs and may include your IP address. No retention period is given.
